Firmware developer

Come join our team at Proxxi Technology. We are a startup working with hardware & software that wants to make the world a safer place. Our first product is for workers who deal with the everyday risks of being around electricity; utility workers, heavy industry, firefighters, and other emergency personnel - heroes that keep you safe, keep your lights on, and will be there when you need them. Proxxi can detect and alert people to potential electrical dangers before it is too late.

Our wearable device has a combination of analog and digital sensors, uses wireless charging, provides users with haptic, audible, and visual feedback, and communicates over Bluetooth to mobile devices and on to our backend systems.

As part of the Proxxi team, you will be responsible for the development of firmware for our devices and for jigs used at various points during manufacturing and testing. You will also be involved in the design of new features, improving the software quality, and shaping the products user experience.

From a tech stack perspective, as a company we do everything from custom hardware and firmware to native mobile code, desktop apps, AWS, web front-ends, and more. It’s a great way to experience a development environment much beyond what is seen typically at a single company, along with physical product development of course.

We’ve embraced a flexible work environment from the beginning and try hard to let people work the hours and locations that fit with their lives. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will be a key member of our company. You will be important to us, and treated as such. Honesty and openness are core values for us.
